Storms like Hurricane Milton can develop with just a few days notifications, and researchers say climate change causes an increase in the frequency of extreme weather events.

What you need if you are pregnant
If you are pregnant, it is important that you pack your medical cards and urgent contact for your health care provider. Even if your maturity date is not around the corner, you will probably need some of these documents for your next meeting (especially if you need to take it to a new location). What do you need if you have a child
If your little is already here, pack as much as you can for their nutrition and care. ACF says breastfeeding can be especially useful during an emergency, because it requires less packaging and protects your baby from drinking potentially contaminated water. If you feed yourself with the formula, the formula for supply in vials with one serving, the safest way to go, because it does not require water. Disease control and prevention centers (CDCs) recommend packaging of one-off cases whenever possible if you are not positive, you will have access soap and clean water after evacuating.

When should you evacuate for a natural disaster?
