What is the story like?
After a whirlpool in the ski resort, Johnny Futrola (Cary Grant) is on his way to meet his new fiancé, Julia Seton (Doris Nolan) in vacation. When he arrives, Johnny is overwhelmed to learn that Julia’s daughter is rich and reputable families. Juli’s sister, Linda, and Brother, Sun (Lew Ayres), promises to help him win his father, who is likely to complain to the engagement because Johnny is rich. Julia tells him, “There is nothing more exciting than making money.” But Johnny, who just occupied the first vacation in his life, just wants to make enough to take “a holiday” to “find out why I work.” Linda thinks this is a great idea. She is some of the family outsider, exceptional huge formal spaces for a pleasant place up, which she calls “the only home I have.” He tries to convince Julia and their father that Johnny is right. Although he finished the job that gives him enough for his vacation, Johnny gives him and promises Juli that he will go to work for his father for a while. While their father was presented with a honeymonding ITinerary and explains, he is arranged for the house and servants for them, Johnny Balkers. He knows that if he accepts all this, he will never be able to leave him. Julia interrupts engagement, and Linda joins Johnny on his vacation.
Is that good?
This movie can be a difficult sales for modern children, but older tweens and teenagers who give him a chance can find him comfortable. Many children will identify with a sense that he does not want to rest a rest, to deviate from everyday life and study a larger picture. The idea that other things are more important than earnings and living in accordance with traditional success standards, some appeals can be appealed. This is a good opportunity to talk to children about which success really means in finding definition within themselves instead of asking too much weight to the definitions of others.
Rest It has two extremely attractive characters in Johnny’s Potter friends, played Jean Dixon and Edward Everett Horton. Their kindness and wisdom oppose the superficial values of the Seton family. Cary Grant began in the business show as an acrobat, and you can see him showing some of that worries in this film. The same stars, director, author and screenwriter worked on another classic, The story of Philadelphia.
