I came home with a long weekend to infestation in flight – what I did wrong

Key points

  • Flying are progressing where the food remains out of the utensil, recycling and fruit ripening all invite infestations.
  • Apple Cider vinegar traps with sugar and dryness for the dryness of work quickly, especially when covering with foil or wrap.
  • Adhesive traps and replacement such as wine or juice also helps to securely reduce large flying swarms.

Last summer, I had absolute joy and pleasure to deal with the infestation of flies in the apartment I just moved in. My first time I had an apartment with an outdoor space.

I recently left my apartment for the weekend escape, and when I opened the door three days later, he greeted my swarm of uninvited guests.

It turns out that a few little errors needed to turn home to their breeding country, so it’s time to learn from my mistakes.

My homework last year made one key thing obvious: where there are food, there are flies. Whether it is a food you are actively cooking, remains in a pan, remains in the trash or even the rest of the leaving in things in your recycling, flies will always gravitate food; What is fermented, the better.

Equipped with this knowledge, I put all dishes in the sink in the dishwasher and took the trash before leaving. But even though I took this preventive measure, I forgot about a few important things:

  • I forgot to take a dishwasher and I even left a little open, giving flies the perfect buffet outgoing the rest of food on the feast.
  • I left an overwhelming three Glass bottles in recycling. One of the bottles was a bottle of red wine – something flies can’t resist, even if they want.
  • And finally and most importantly, I left fruit. My bananas weren’t quite mature when I left, but I went back to a lot of brown spots, and the rot of fruit is another thing that brings in your home.

It’s hard to believe that three little mistakes brought to such a big problem, but the task is resolved. And, fortunately, I have a few tricks on my sleeve.

What I’m doing to fix it

I’m still actively struggling in the fly. Upon his return home from my weekend trip, my partner and I estimated that it may have been 50 or so much flies that leaves our apartment. Each room had flies on the walls, on our furniture; Couldn’t escape.

So when does their eviction notice come? We hope soon.

I immediately made traps for attaching the apple in shallow bowls to attract and kill flies. To make a trap, I pour a little apple vinegar (just enough to cover the bottom of the bowl, but not to hover, and then you can put a sarent wrap or foil on top and to hold a few holes.

This trap drowns them, and you can repeat this with another pantry.

SUBTIT STAPLEBLE subtitutes

In Pinc, I combined and apple juice with regular vinegar, so I used only just a little wine – everyone did the job.

I also put sticky traps near the main hubs in the fly to get rid of them. If you are not a fan of different methods, but you don’t want to use anything potentially toxic in your home, sticky traps are transitioning (plus I consider him a little satisfactory to see all the tortures caught).

Both of these methods were extremely effective, there are only a lot of flies for which they do; Thanks the goddesses flight season is almost over.
