“The dark carpet adds instant comfort and depth into space. There are also a daily basement, especially in areas with high traffic or pets,” says Christina Jones, the main and creative director in twenty-eight. “From the prospect of the design creates a grounding effect that enables easier furniture and accents to really stand out.”

A deep shade and unique texture are also versatile enough to work with different aesthetics.

• Coal gray: Deep coal gray works miracles with dark carpet, especially for an elegant monochrome look. “For more luxurious finishing, think about painting a high gloss wall that offers little reflectivity and creates a dramatic statement,” Lamarque says.
• Jewel tones: These rich, colorful shades offer contrast and elegance. “Deep plums, an emerald green or peacock-sapphire blue couple nicely with a dark carpet,” Lamarque suggests.
• Earthen tones: Earthing tips found in nature are a simple complement of dark carpets. “Deeply olive or slate blue can be nice when it paired thoughtfully,” Jones says.
• Warm neutrals: Want to avoid the mood walls? “Consider a pale pink pink, warm white or pale greige to reflect light inside the room and create a more airy feeling,” Lamarque says.
• Cream tones: Light, soothing colors create refreshing opposition. “Think about color colors like Sherwin-Williams Mexican sand for moody vibrations or fresco lighter cream,” Danielle Davis, founder and main designer 56. Study in Street.

How to brighten room with dark carpet

• Add reflective surfaces: Items like mirrors, metal accents or glass helping in the bounce around, Jones records.
• Choose a color lighter: Furniture, drapery, and even works of art in brighter tones make dark carpets, feel open and airy.
• Maximize lighting: Proper lighting cut a dark carpet with warm and brightness, and at the same time highlight emphasis. “Check that the room is adequately illuminated, combining brightness, ambient lighting from desktop and floor lamps, and wall folding at the eyes level,” suggests Lamarque.
• Diversification Color Color: The easier color in several different shenes can encourage breathing room. “For example, try matte on the walls, an egg on being, and a soft gloss or satin on the ceiling helps reflect light,” Jones says.

• Introduce a form: To keep the space from the feeling of one-way, add the pokes of a blow to the artistic work, upholstery or prints. “The introduction of the form and on dark carpets and the decor helps in defining the character and personality of the space,” Lamarque notes.
