This is without Action Futuristic Science with the main topics that cannot be interested in most children. I am a mortal He explores the meaning of life, death and existence, with some Sartre and CS Lewis quotes on the road. It is expressed not so much through a flat story about the characters in the futuristic society of dancing colors and office buildings in the 80s, but through preaching debate due to which the work of Ayn Rand seems subtle compared to the comparison. Score very little about how this attempt post-pandemic “utopian” 23rd-Look society actually acts, except that people live forever, but they put they sleep when they reach the top of their physical and mental powers. Or something like that.

In addition to strange omissions in the story, logic happens throughout, some of the social comments of the film tries to do about our own world encounters as very problematic. For example, in this future world people are held happy and teachers with regard to the terms “maintenance” and when the leading characters cease to take their “maintenance”, they have extraordinary clarity around them and how they feel and think. It is mostly dated and boundary offensive comment on mental illness as a more social construct of real diseases. Yes, Harmony through the pharmaceutical aspect is long time long-term scientists, but here such representations encounter as dated as astronauts in 60s cigarettes smoking while blind to Neptune.

Talk to your kids about …

  • Families can discuss the topics discussed I am a mortal. What are the film say about life, death and existence? What are your thoughts about these topics?

  • One aspect of this futuristic society is that people take medicine called “maintenance” that keeps them in peace with the world and with them. When the main characters go from their “maintenance,” they feel more “alive” and purity. What a comment does that seem to do so on today’s society, mental health and pharmaceutical products? What are your thoughts about that?

  • Most major characters appear to represent so many individuals, but a certain world looking or philosophy. What stalls do logos, pilot, helios and others do?
