8 things you should never clean with a paper towel – and what to use instead

Paper towels are popular for their comfort in cleaning confusion, absorption and versatility.

However, paper towels are not a cheap one-time cleaning tool, produce a lot of waste, and they are not the best choice for cleaning each surface. Made of wooden pulp, fibers can scratch sensitive surfaces and leave the juice behind.

Here are eight things you should never clean with a paper towel, and which cleaning tool should be used instead.

Electronic screens

The paper towel leaves scratches on Lint and a minute on electronic screens such as TV, laptops and cell phones. If used multiple times, it can be permanent popping on the screen.

What to use instead: The best screens cleaning cloth is a cloth made of microfiber design specifically for electronics. The cloth should be clean and can be used alone or with a safety solution for cleaning. When cleaning, do not apply excessive pressure that can damage the components inside the screen.

Advice

Skip a paper towel when cleaning your ears or housing cell phone, because this can leave the juice behind. Use a microfiber cloth or non-woven outline.

Wooden surfaces

If you ever tried to dust the wooden surface with a paper towel, you know that everything that does just move the dust around. In addition, if the wood surface is not completely smooth, you will leave the bits of a paper towel killed in wood.

What to use instead: Microfiber cloths, Mitsa and dust dust attracts and hold onto dust particles. Even the feathers of astonishment capture more dust and allergens than paper towels. Try reusable dust that can be thrown in the washing machine to reduce the amount of waste created each year of disposable dust.

Windows and mirrors

How many paper towels should you clean the window inside and out? Too much and you are often left with a list clinging to the window after your hard work.

What to use instead: When cleaning the windows and mirrors, use a rubber price and a microfiber cloth. If there is only a few stains, you may not even need a window cleaner and can only wipe them with a dry microfiber cloth.

To reduce the number of cloths you need to clean each window and the mirror around the house, fold the cloths into small squares. It gives you more clean surfaces while working.

Eyewear

Whether you clean the prescription glasses, fashion glasses, sunglasses or safety glasses, using the paper towel is not a good choice. You will receive small scratches and lints on the lenses.

What to use instead: Start by flushing glasses in lukewarm and use the tiny amount of slight meal soaps and fingers to clean the lenses and frames. Rinse thoroughly with water and use a clean, dry microfiber cloth for drying all parts of the glasses.

Stainless steel

You can use the paper towel to delete stainless steel food spills, but for regular cleaning, they can leave the scratches that soap the surface, especially if you spill the steel grain.

What to use instead: Microfiber cloth, a soft cotton towel or cloth made from the old shirt is a better choice for cleaning and shooting stainless steel and surfaces back into shine.

Hand-painted dishes and glasses

You already know that the dishwasher detergent is too sharp for sensitive hand-painted China and a glass dish. So are paper towels. Drying these items with a paper towel can leave scratches, and even remove color if you delete too hard.

What to use instead: After hand-hated dishes, use a soft cotton towel to dry them well.

Leather

If your leather shoes are covered in mud, it’s okay to wipe the mud with a damp paper towel or stain some fat for a pizza that just landed on your leather sofa. But when fast cleaning is over, move to a cleaning cloth that will not scratch or dry the skin.

What to use instead: Use a microfibrane or a soft cotton cloth to clean the dust and a grame with a clean skin and another soft cloth to ensure and facilitate the skin on the gloss.

Jewelry

Having a piece of paper towel stuck in your ring or pointy is not a good look. Whether you clean a diamond, metal or jewelry costume, use a cloth that will leave to look the best.

What to use instead: If you do not have a special polishing cloth designed for jewelry components, stick to microfiber cloths that will not leave LIN or thread in your jewelry.
